Horsted Keynes (October 2004)
3rd October 2004

This is the (former) junction station on the Bluebell Railway, where the p-way, wagon and carriage and S+T departments are based, to name but a few. In days gone by, there used to be a branch line to Ardingly, which was lifted and several key structures were removed. Eventually it is hoped that the line can be reopened, but the extension to East Grinstead has to be the priority. Regarded as one of the finest preserved stations in the country, it has been restored to it's Southern Railway condition, and the whole site has grade II listed status.
